DELAWARE 87ERS TO HOST CHILD, INC. NIGHT PRESENTED BY REYBOLD GROUP ON MARCH 24

WILMINGTON, DE – MARCH 20, 2017 – The Delaware 87ers will host CHILD, Inc. Night presented by Reybold Group in dedication to Delaware’s children on Friday, March 24 when the team takes on the Long Island Nets at 7 p.m. ET at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del.

Sevens players will wear special-themed purple jerseys that will be auctioned off to fans to benefit CHILD, Inc. Purple was chosen as the color for the jerseys because it represents domestic violence, which CHILD, Inc. is helping to combat.

CHILD, Inc.’s mission is to be the leading advocate for Delaware’s children. The nonprofit serves dependent, neglected and abused children and their parents by providing creative prevention and treatment programs for individuals involved in domestic violence situations. By protecting the victims and treating those responsible for acts of domestic violence, CHILD, Inc. helps children heal. CHILD, Inc. also provides the only children’s shelter and runaway shelter in the state, in addition to many programs such as those held in schools for anger management and dating violence prevention.

The Delaware 87ers of the National Basketball Association Development League (NBADL) were relocated to America’s first state in 2013 and named to commemorate the year in which Delaware ratified the U.S. Constitution, 1787.
